Pick up the event bucket to the designated location.
Check in student events.
For physical entry turn-ins:
There are stickers for the PIDs (entry numbers) to be placed on the entry.
Do NOT manually enter PIDs into the EMS even if a student has some printout showing they are in the event. Contact your Event Manager immediately.
For Semi-Final Interviews
There should be a blank signup sheet in the bucket, if not, creating one is fine.
Before signups, divide the judging interview time into time blocks for student sign-up.
Make sure to collect both the student and advisor mobile number (if known).
If a time block opens up or there is a now show, having contact info will allow you to fill the space to cut down on judging time.
You do not have to call students/teams to remind them of their time.
Return the event bucket to the designated location.
Do not keep your bucket overnight if your event continues the next day.
Stay in the event room for judge support.
Keep judging on track.
Process Disqualifications and Violation.
Your Event Manager must also agree with your decision, so it is easier to do it together if possible.
Do not let the judges leave until you have confirmed that the EMS team has fully closed the event.
DQs are only for the GO/NO GO toggle items on the rubric.
Violations are calculated automatically, judges do not need to deduct 20%.
If a question arises involving DQs or Violations, contact your Event Manger for clarification and interpretations.

Do NOT make an assumption about an issue with EMS
Tickets are categorized by priority and then are taken first come first served. Please do not submit duplicate tickets; this will actually slow down your ticket resolution.
Do not approach the EMS team with issues. Everyone's issue is important. Interrupting the EMS team with cause a slow down and delay all tickets. Solutions can be complicated and usually involve manual database entry (you do NOT want the Team to do that to quickly or your whole event could go down).
This will show you were to find the new menu item in your EMS Advisor account. There is no particular account; you use your normal account. A new menu item will appear once the EMS has been updated.
If there are more than one Event Coordinator, only ONE of you will have the menu item. There is no way to have two Event Coordinators for an event in the EMS. If you need help checking in entries, your Event Manager can also check in entries.
If you are the only Event Coordinator and you do not see Event Managment, submit a ticket.

You should have several pages of PID stickers. Affix a sticker onto the physical entry. You have multiples of each PID if there are several parts, such as a display board and portfolio.
Make sure all pieces have the same PID on their stickers
Be careful not to place extra stickers of one PID on the entry for another PID
DO NOT MANUALLY ENTER PIDs in the EMS.
If you don't see the PID, check EMS list of entries already checked in to see if it is already done
Submit a ticket AND contact your Event Manager if the PID is not in either list.

You must decide on all DQs and Violations. Your Event Manager must agree and also submit their decision from their EMS account as well. It is easiest to do this together to speed things up. EVENT ROUNDS CANNOT BE CLOSED UNTIL THIS IS DONE.

Round 1 - Ties are fine.
Round 2 - There can be NO ties in the top 12.
DO NOT ALLOW JUDGES TO TWEAK SCORE TO BREAK A TIE
Have judges determine the ties using a "which is better" approach
Submit a ticket
Include the PIDs and give a ranking for the PIDs
For example - You aren't saying it is first place overall, you are saying in its tied position one is 1st and one is 2nd (or 3rd, 4th, 5th, if needed)
20012031 - 1st
20030231 - 2nd
Wait for confirmation ties are broken
